Armed Forces

The wind is blowing in my ear

I sense that the storm is near

The rain is dropping to the ground

Soldiers are falling without sound

Our enemies fall to their deaths

Rounds are shot into their chests

Clouds become black with anger

Sailors are waiting in the hanger

Ships are always on the alert

We stay silent, ready to go

The clock counts down to the end of the day

Marines return, but with nothing to say

Sitting in trenches, taking a look

You wish you were at home with your favorite book

You look overhead and see the surprise

Air Force pilots ruling the sky

You sit in a cave, population is scarce

You put on a face, one that is fierce

You hear the screams from a mile away

It takes every ounce of strength in our bodies not to fade
